World Masters and Jiu Jitsu Con 2025 Recap

This past weekend EDJ Academy took 8 adult competitors and 1 kid to Las Vegas for the annual World Masters and Jiu Jitsu Con! This IBJJF event is one of the largest of the year, and 2025 brought the biggest turnout yet.

More than just a tournament, Jiu Jitsu Con is a celebration of the sport. From white belts to Masters, kids to no-gi divisions, the event offers something for everyone. Families can enjoy the interactive atmosphere, shop for Jiu Jitsu gear and apparel, meet world-class athletes, and even join free seminars with some of the best in the game.

Team Results & Highlights

Our EDJ competitors brought their best to the mats and showed incredible heart:

  • Professor Kim earned double bronze — medaling in her division and testing herself in the absolutes.

  • Larry battled his way to silver, cheered on by teammates and supporters from the barricades.

  • Jorge faced a tough brown belt bracket, sticking to his game plan and earning bronze.

  • Aaliyah made her mark with gold in her very first IBJJF event!

We’re also proud of Professor Sarah, Gina, Ava, and Stephen, who represented EDJ with skill, grit, and sportsmanship.

Looking Ahead to 2026

This event continues to grow each year, and our goal is to make World Masters 2026 a full team experience.

Whether you’re a kid or adult, competitor or supporter, Vegas is the place to come together, sharpen our tools, and celebrate the journey.

Even if competing isn’t your path, we encourage every EDJ member to be there next year to support teammates and soak in the energy of this special weekend. These are the kinds of memories that build bonds beyond the mat.

Let’s start working now to fill the brackets for 2026 and represent EDJ in force! Stay tuned for details on registration — together, we’ll make next year even bigger.
